Half of our group started putting together the foundation boards for the building, and the other half sanded/painted the boards for the floor. Tomorrow we plan to do one more layer of paint, and continue putting together the base. I definitely still like the children more in the morning than in the afternoon with more energy. Emily also had a very interesting day. She discovered that her pants unzipped into shorts (she thought she had huge pockets on her knees), and when she finally did that a bug flew up (and stayed) in her pants until we were done working. No one believed her until we got home, and she found it.
This is my online journal of my adventure through South Africa with International Student Volunteers. I am volunteering in a rural community called Chintsa, then taking a road trip around the East Side of the county, into Mozambique. You will see pictures, and descriptions of what I am seeing and doing! I hope you enjoy!

6/3
On our way to the project site we saw 3 elephants, and a few zebra! Emily almost cried when we were watching the elephants, but I didn't get a picture of any actual tears. (Lol) It was nice and sunny, even though the forecast said it was going to be really cold, so we were very pleased with that.
