This is my online journal of my adventure through South Africa with International Student Volunteers. I am volunteering in a rural community called Chintsa, then taking a road trip around the East Side of the county, into Mozambique. You will see pictures, and descriptions of what I am seeing and doing! I hope you enjoy!

Sand Dune Hike
After our long day of work, we thought it was a great day to go hike the sand dunes, about 10 minutes away from our house. Milton lead us through the smaller dunes, up to the huge one in the middle. It was a tough work out getting to the top, but the view was totally rewarding. We could see the whole coast line, and the skyline where the blue ocean fades into the sky. Running down the dunes was definitely not as rewarding as getting all the way to the top, but we enjoyed ourselves! And of course I had to wear my Blackhawks hat to represent the best team in the Stanley Cup Finals!
